Varma Treatment

I have been suffering from a swelling in the neck and shoulder on the right side for the past 25 years now. It affects my arm, palm and fingers by going numb especially just after I get up early in the morning. Have been to doctors in the past. Found no permanant relief so far.

Allopaths wrote out long list of tests which never brought out the problem leave alone the solution!
Some said its sugar complaint, some said its cholestrol and prescribed medicines for the same. It ended in my feeling dizzy more often after taking these medicines so I had to stop them altogether.

Last Wednesday my colleague took me with her to a doctor who she said could cure neuro problems too. She has the same set of aches which I have.

Only after I went there I found out that this doctor is a Varma practioner.
Varma is a branch of medicine just like Ayurveda, Siddha, etc.
He uses a combination of herbs specially grown in the famed Kolli Hills near Nammakkal in South India to cure many ailments besides resorting to massage for external relief of aches and pains.
This doctor has a herbs' farm, a medical college, a school and a clinic. There is no publicity whatsoever. It runs only through word of mouth publicity.
He is Dr.Dharmalingam and his herbal medicines are manufactured under the brand name of 'Dharma'.
Dr.Dharma checked my nadi (nerve in the wrist region).
In two minutes he pronounced the following: that I have had ulcer in the past which was true, that phlegm was present in my blood.
I specifically asked him whether I had sugar or cholestrol. He said I din't have those complaints.
Then he recommended a neck and shoulder herbal oil massage for 10 days besides prescribing some herbal capsules and a powder for consumption.
capsules dont need any preparation.
The powder was packed in individual sachets of ziplock bags and resembled rough sawdust.
The contents has to be boiled in 2 cups of water until it reduced to 1/4th volume. This has to be consumed after food. On the first day that was the bitterest dicoction I have ever tasted in all my life! I knew this will certainly kill the worst of bacteria or worms inside my system for sure. It reminded me of the methi-fenugreek treatment recommended to plants to kill insects or pests!!
He also assured me that my problem will diminish after 10 days of consuming these medicines combined with the massage treatment.
I was willing to try it and am trying it very faithfully as I want relief.
Such treatments require faith more than anything, just like faith in Homeopathy which cures serious ailments with tiny globules, many would suspect whether they will indeed get cured with.
But hours after, a perennial swelling near my mid finger on my right hand due to an injury 5 or 6 years back looked a bit shrunk and the throbbing pain a bit reduced! I wondered whether I was imagining things.

A lady is doing a good job of the massage with herbal oil. She could identify where the swelling in the neck and shoulder regions were. There seems to be a certain nerve which is giving me all the pain all these 25 years in the past.
Its 2 days gone and I feel a pain in the place where a cut was made for my C-section in the abdominal region, to deliver my twin sons 25 years back.
My mother-in-law always used to say that some nerves get cut during such operations and could lead to other types of problems. Does this have any basis, any connection to my pain in the neck and shoulder? I wonder.
